She then tried to replace the vial with another one, but was not successful drawing blood into that vial. She kept moving the needle all around in his arm. She fished around for a vein, got a vein but the flow was minimal. Of course she did not listen but she did have a semi-successful 2nd attempt. After her first failed and painful attempt, my son had to show her where the entry point should be. She did not aim for a vein but instead just a place in his arm, then as the needle was in his arm she would fish around for a vein. The woman who did his labs was the most inexperienced and unprofessional phlebotomist I have ever run across. The doctor's office contracts out to Quest Diagnostics so he had his blood drawn at the doctor's office. We are both in shock over his experience having his blood drawn for the doctor ordered labs today. Between health issues and his medical training, he has had blood drawn countless times. I was with my adult son today, who is an EMT and a certified phlebotomist. If you are able to forward my heartfelt concerns or change the company where the drug screen is to be done or give me a location that is guaranteed reliable, that would be great. If you are able to get me an actual appointment with guaranteed personnel present at the time of said appointment with the ability to do and complete the test, I would appreciate it. The location that I tried today that stated it was open and taking walk ins, but instead there was no one there, is 15885 Woodward Ave Suite 201, Highland Park, MI 48203. The quest diagnostic service, at least in Detroit, has been proven to me to be incredibly unreliable. This is similar to my experience about two weeks ago when I had to go to multiple places to find one that was truly open and working in spite of the quest website saying otherwise. We then realized no one was there in spite of a woman's bag present in an empty room with all the correct and expected postage signs regarding employment drug testing. Myself and another gentleman were waiting. I spent about 30min earlier today at a walk in quest diagnostic location that I confirmed open on the quest website just prior to leaving the house.
